With the likelihood that it will cost too much to trade into the top-4, as rumored, who would you target in the top-10?

Mike Born, Blazer scout, recently said that the team is trying to move up in the draft.

In my opinion, I think KP is looking at a 4/5 to groom as a replacement for Joel, or even Greg Oden down the road.

    Option A -- Cole Aldrich
    6'10" PF/C
    236 LBS.
    7'4.74" wingspan
9'3.5" standing reach (only 1/2" shorter than Greg's)
    Projection: Top-10 pick

    -Physical toughness
    -Defensive fundamentals
    -Shot blocking
    -Defensive post presence
    .

    Option B -- Patrick Patterson
    6'9.25" PF
    240 LBS.
    7'1.25" wingspan
    8'11" standing reach
    Projection: Top-10 pick

    -High Basketball IQ
    -Strong intangibles
    -Back to basket scoring
    -Good hands

If we can't move up to get a dynamic young PG, then why bother? But if we do bother, Aldrich would be as good a pick for back-up center as any of 5 other players.

I also like staying put and drafting Dominique Jones.

If the Blazers use a top ten pick to draft a 7 foot white center I will know for sure that KP is leaving.

It's supposedly a deep draft, so I'm somewhat hopeful we'll get at least a decent player even if we stay at our 22nd slot.

As for what would make it "ideal," it depends what kind of trades KP pulls off for established rotation guys, not so much for draft picks, unless it means moving up and somehow getting a hold of a guy like Favors or maybe Cousins. More realistically, if he can somehow consolidate Bayless, Rudy, and/or Martell along with Joel's (soon to be) expiring contract -- meaning no official confirmation until July 1st -- for a legit "point guard of the future" to be Miller's heir apparent or if he can bolster the bench with a true instant offense sixth man and rounds out the edges with an upside small forward like Paul George in the draft then I think that would be a pretty good day.

    Agreed.

I don't really have any interest in acquiring any rookies in this draft outside of Wall/Turner.

So, I just want us to use our assets on draft day to consolidate talent and get better players to fill out our top 8.

My ideal draft day would be to trade up to #4 and get Cousins. I think he'll go #3 though so it won't happen.

I thought it was a flux capicator? Not trying to to picky, I actually have told a new boss of mine that a tool needed a flux capicator to fix it. He reported it to his manager and no one said a thing.

Again, wasn't trying to be picky, just wanted to make sure I was using the correct part when I pick on our RCG's at work. (recent college grads)

I didn't think you were being picky at all.

If I'm going to make my draft dreams come true I better use the correct parts.

I think Patrick Patterson would be a nice fit here. But id hate to see Cunningham and Pendergraph lose minutes.

    2007 Draft Keven Durant

    2010 Draft Patrick Patterson

Move Rudy and Dante (tweener) for a B/U PG

    Sign Mike Miller

SCRAM braclet for GO. Don't let him on the court AGAIN till he losses 35 LBS !!!

Don't care about KP. If teams won't deal W/ him, he is worthless.

Finish 5th in WC for 2011

    First round loss

My ideal draft day? Wall slides over 20 spots and we pick him up, and it all turns out to be a misunderstanding as to why he slid.

In all likelyhood though I would like Portland to move up to #3 or #4 and pick up either Favors or Cousins.

Draftexpress ranked prospects by position and Jerome Randle came in as the #2 PG in this class.

    I'm just sayin..

Portland drafts a 17 year old euro player who they then stash in the Euroleague for 3 years before they let their rights lapse.

Wait, is this what I think is perfect or what KP would think was?
