A run with what? I'm not opposed to trading Oden, but I'm guessing their offer would be Micheal Beasley -- does that really do us any good?

If we could somehow work out a three way for Al Horford or Marc Gasol then maybe...otherwise it doesn't seem too interesting.

Do Horford or Marc Gasol make us contenders? I'm thinking not, we would maybe make it a round or two further.. but never further IMO. For me the (possible) Reward for keeping Oden, outweighs a WCF appearance or two. Its a gamble though, yes I admit that.

If Oden was traded at this point, my disgust would know no bounds. He's not going to get anything like his healthy value because nobody's going to volunteer to take that risk. Beasley my ass - now THERE'S a projected-top-pick that has been GENUINELY disappointing.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
It does us as much good as trading Bayless and (non-Roy/Oden) filler for a re-signed Wade does Miami.

So, basically, it depends on how you define "good." ;)

I'm one of the few that is willing to go down with the ship when it comes to Greg. I refuse to think that somebody blessed with the skills I saw while he played at OSU and Vegas Summer League will not become a dominant NBA big man. Injuries are a freak accident and unfortunately Greg has had his share, that doesn't mean I'm giving up on him. He's already considered a bust by some, so he can only go up right. It's easy for people who say on here..... trade him for this or that, but a healthy Greg I believe puts us over the top!

PS- It doesn't help that he is so damn cool. He is a great guy! Wish he was a prick, maybe Id feel different!

I'm with ya on that one. I know its a gamble, but what a healthy Greg offers this team far outweighs what a healthy Gasol would IMO. Sure if ORL called offering Howard I would have to, but The Reward far outweighs the risk IMO. Hanging banners for a 2nd round appearance does nothing for me :)

Miami has nothing to offer. Move along, nothing to see here.

I'll jump on that ship. I saw enough last year that makes me a believer. Unless he has some sort of rare degenerative disease that I don't know about, I see no reason to think he can't get past these rash of injuries.

Wouldn't dismiss anything without at least hearing an offer. Maybe this turns into like a 5 team trade with SnT's and all that.

A three-team trade that in the end nets us Bosh would be worth trading Oden and, say, Batum and Rudy and Joel's contract.
