Sex and the city 2: I've developed a new rating thanks to this absolute abortion: "Suicide Inducing" If any of your wives, girlfriends or "bottoms" enjoy this shit you must be with the most shallow, narcissistic, boring, deluded cvnt of a human being possible. Terrible film about terrible people moaning about not having enough shit. C+ Edit: I sent this to my friend via text half way though the film "Oh dear sweet jesus u have no idea what im going through right now. This flick isnt even gay... Its beyond gay... Its beyond woman... Its like a backwards lezzer gay fuckfest full of cooking and fashion and female moaning about not being gay enough. I might have to kill myself after this." It wasn't going well...
Heh, no kidding. Gotta admit, the paintball ending had me laughing. Oh, and at the very end when he said, "Next season's gonna be great..." through the glass in prison had me chuckling a bit, as well.
Well there are these things called trailers which act like warnings and tell rational beings to stay the fuck away. The fact you still willingly subjected yourself to the entire torture is on you, and you will receive no sympathy here. You contributed to its box office success and therefore the likely hood of another one in the future... You've contributed to the downfall of civilization. Congrats.
The Road: Wow. I get it why people like this kind of film, but it's too bleak for me. I just don't understand why any one would write a book like this or make a movie like this. It wasn't bad, but not my style: 5.5/10 The Men Who Stare at Goats: This is more like it! I liked it, not loved it. 7/10
SLJ's character wasn't really intense to me because I'm used to watching Jack Bauer. There were a couple of twists in the story, but they weren't jaw-dropping by any means. Regardless, it's an interesting movie.
The A-Team: 7/10 A LOT better than I was expecting. Rampage Jackson was surprisingly good for a first time actor, too.
The problem a lot of critics have with Shutter Island is that they are too busy comparing it to other Scorcese films instead of rating it as a stand alone movie. Seriously, half of the critics out there probably have something in their review that reads like this, "Not as good as other Scorcese flicks but a decent movie." Now to sound cliche, I definitely don't think it ranks up there with Scorcese's best, but that should be a given. Not many can. It's definitely a good flick though. It's got tons of great atmosphere, enthralling suspense, and another good performance out of Leonardo Dicaprio. What's so poignantly ironic about the film, that I just love, is when Dicaprio's character slowly senses himself reaching the brink of insanity but doesn't realize that he was insane from the beginning. 8/10 for me.
Vey disapointed in your rating of Zoolander. No way it should get the same score as I love you man. Zoolander is a classic.
I read the book, but haven't seen the movie. I enjoyed the book, you got a real feeling of what it is like to scavenge for food in an apocalypse situation. I am interested in seeing the movie.
The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo - 8/10 I thought it was worthwhile. Well acted. A thriller murder mystery based on the popular novel. A bit long and with subtitles, some might be put off by that. They are doing a Hollywood remake, but I doubt the graphic rape scenes make it into the redo.
Toy Story 3 - 9/10 Amazing. No other words to describe it. Having grown up with and loving the previous films, this one is even better. Lots of new characters (gotta love Ken and that porcupine thing) in addition to the familiar ones (just bought a Buzz Lightyear toy, i know I'm a dork). The incinerator scene is really touching. Ps. the Day and Night short at the beginning is one the most creative shorts I've ever seen.
Greenberg. 5.5/10 -- a little let down. Kind of a slow movie, but Ben Stiller did a great job with his character.
