    - The Gunners have made an inquiry about the possibility of signing England midfielder Joe Cole from Chelsea.
    - Barcelona will renew their chase of Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano. However, their big-money pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas could scupper their plans to sign the Argentine, who the Reds value at close to £30m.
    - Bordeaux ace Yoann Gourcuff, France's first-choice playmaker in the World Cup, is being lined up as a £21.8m replacement for Fabregas at the Emirates.
    - Bordeaux midfielder Yoann Gourcuff would prefer a move to Arsenal, despite Lyon's willingness to meet the £21m release clause in his contract.
    - Spanish giants Barcelona remain confident of signing Arsenal captain and midfielder Cesc Fabregas this summer. "We are working on it," said Barca president Joan Laporta, whose club are believed to be willing to offer £30m for the player, with the Gunners reportedly holding out for more than double that amount.
    - Arsenal are reportedly interested in Bordeaux midfielder Yoann Gourcuff as a replacement for Fabregas should the Spaniard leave the Emirates. However, the Gunners would face competition for the Frenchman's signature from Lyon.

Gourcuff with at least 20 Million more to spend (assuming the reason Gourcuff comes in is because we lose Cesc) They better not sell him for less than 40 Million.

We have should have around 50m without the sale of Fabregas.

I want the full 60 if they are getting Cesc personally lol. But 50 million minus the 21.8 Million leaves 28.2 to be had. Turning Cesc into Gorcuff, Lloris and someone else? Not too shabby.

As a Barca fan, I'm hoping that you all keep Fabregas. Getting him and selling Toure doesn't many any sense for a team that already has Iniesta and Xavi in central mid and need a defensive presence there. I'd take Mascherano there, but I'd rather save the money and stick with Toure.

I'm almost positive that we'll be getting an aged 'keeper. We're just waiting for this guy to get another year or so of experience:

    - Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Lyon's defensive midfielder Jean Makoun this summer.
    - Barcelona defender Dmytro Chygrynskiy could be given to Arsenal on loan in order to lower the price of Cesc Fabregas, who the Catalan side have targeted as their chief summer signing.
    - Arsenal are preparing to let young midfielder Francis Coquelin, 19, join Lorient on a season-long loan to help improve their chances of landing the French side's 24-year-old defender Laurent Koscielny.
    - Former Arsenal and Manchester City striker Paul Dickov will be handed the manager's job at Oldham after impressing in an interview. Dickov, 37, who spent the second half of this season with Leeds, has never managed before.

    Lots of news today:

    - Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is examining his legal options in a bid to force through a move to Barcelona. The 23-year-old has considered exploiting Fifa's 'Webster ruling', which states that a player who signed a deal before the age of 28 can buy himself out of the remainder of his contract three years after the deal was signed. However, it would cost Fabregas £28.6m to buy out his £110,000-a-week contract which has five years to run.
    - Arsenal are considering a move for West Ham's £6m-rated England goalkeeper Robert Green, 30, after opting not to pursue 37-year-old Fulham stopper Mark Schwarzer.
    - Arsenal and Tottenham are locked in a head-to-head battle for the signature of £9m-rated Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
    - Portsmouth and England goalkeeper David James could be in line for a move to Fulham as Arsenal step up their interest in the Cottagers' Mark Schwarzer.
    - Arsenal have become the latest team to be linked with Chelsea's out-of-contract midfielder Joe Cole, but the player will not decide on his future until after the World Cup.
