Lots of reports saying that we've signed Joe Cole on a free. He will be signing a three-year contract at Emirates.

Cole still has the quality to get first team football but I think we'll see him as cover for Ramsey.

Possibly could be a direct replacement for Denilson.

If true, this could be the kick in the ass several of our players need (Arshavin, Diaby, and Walcott especially).

Cole said he wouldn't announce/make a decision until after the WCup.

sounds like BS to me, we already have enough wingers who can do the job. plus he'd want plenty of cash, something we don't give to players here at Arsenal.

Yup, he is asking for at least 100k a week. We won't go that high.

"The Metro newspaper claims Joe Cole has signed a three year deal with Arsenal today. The Chelsea midfielder has been linked with a number of clubs this summer as his contract with the blues comes to an end. Reports claim the 28-year-old will complete the deal next week, and Cole is hoping to announce the switch before the World Cup kicks off in 10 days time. The free paper claims Wenger is prepared to stump up a high wage offer for Cole as he attempts to build a title challenging side next season."

I don't really care what we pay him so long as we still have money to address our more pressing needs in goal and on defence.

I'm a little stunned. I didn't think we'd sign him. Then again, I thought he was asking for 120-150k/week when it seems we're getting him for a more reasonable price.

    Probably around 100k.

Waiting until it comes officially from Arsenal or a trusted source. but if true, then I'm slightly disappointed, because that wage could have been used to lure a top class GK and wenger has still not resolved that issue yet.
