It'll be hard to mess up the No. 1 pick this year. But man some of the decisions GMs make is just so sad when you look back in hindsight. Like Pierce falling to No. 10 in '98? Ridiculous.
Some of those weren't bad decisions. Oden is still young and the verdict is still out on him. He has potential to be one of the best centers of the decade. I wouldn't say some of those were the worst of all-time though -- maybe in just recent memory. I would've included Marvin Williams over Chris Paul though.
Oden was the consensus number one that year and being touted as the best big man prospect since Shaq. It's not his fault that he's been injury riddled while Durant has become a top 5 player in the NBA. And also, why is the Vlade for Kobe trade not mentioned as one of the worst draft decisions ever? Just putting that one out there. I also agree with the Marvin over Paul being awful as well.
