<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Seahawks sign Holmgren to two-year extenstionThe Seahawks re-signed their most important 2007 free agent Tuesday afternoon when they reached a two-year contract extension for coach Mike Holmgren, whose contract was set to expire after this season.Holmgren's agent, Bob LaMonte, finalized the contract extension one week after flying to Seattle last Tuesday to meet with Seahawks officials. Terms of the contract weren't available, but Holmgren was negotiating from a position of strength. With a $7 million salary in 2006, Holmgren was negotiating as the highest paid coach in the league.</div>LinkI think this is well deserved extenstion. I'm not sure if the Seahawks will be Super Bowel bound next season, but i think they have a great chance at winning the division. They have the 49ers, Cardinals, and Rams in the same division. Only competition i see is coming from the Cardinals. I think Cardinals make the playoffs this year as a wildcard or divisonal winner.

They want to keep this guy and Shaun Alexander as long as they can, both are star players and are the face of the Seahawks. They can probably make it to the NFC championship but my Panthers will take them out there on there way to the superbowl [IMG]
