Wow 2, geez time is flying by. My daughter decided to start at PCC and do the basics until she could identify where and what she really wants to do. She is working as well and never seems to be around anymore. But we still have one left at Lakeridge
My goodness, Lake at Maxie and the same time, feel like I'm in a time machine, the "good ol daze". Nice to see ya gang. "Surge" or TO or Haisdaman if you remember
My daughter graduating high school in a few weeks as well, going local until she figures out what she wants to do as well. She just won a state championship in tennis - one proud papa here! I think I may have messed up Lake, your daughter changing careers?
LOL, no, not that good but her goal has been just to get to state, she got there and won the dubs outta nowhere, was really awesome to watch, and extremely difficult as well! Those hundreds and maybe thousands of hours we practiced together really paid off, just too cool.
Is this legal? Are you ladies allowed to hijack my quality thread for some old timers reunion? Denny Crane................ where are you when we need you most?
Still, congrats and it's even more special that you were a big part of helping her get there. Did you see that 60mins interview with those brothers that play tennis doubles professionally? I think it was on about 2 months back. If you follow tennis you probably know who I'm talking about. Good interview.
Yeah, Bryan brothers, good guys and so is their Dad - has his head on straight. And thanks, something I'll treasure rest of my days.
From what I understand they pretty much saved professional doubles tennis. Their dad did seem like a character.
My daughter is leaning toward nursing and a BSN or PA, given this economy gotta have a very good idea of what you want to do or college can be time and money ill spent. Not like when I graduated back in late 70's, a degree would get you at least a nice entry level position, plus the most I ever paid was $150 per semester, including books! Hard to imagine
HCP I don't see dean leaving either unless he gets a gig as a head coach in either the NBA or college. Canales has limited value at this point in time, but I think Bayno and Prunty are definite possibilities
I usually don't respond to rookies with under 2000 posts, BUT, I'm feeling generous. What worries me is if Bayno leaves. Monty, Canales and Bayno are the "hands on" coaches. Bangin' and spending 1 on 1 time with the guys. Prunty is great, but is a little more hands off/X's and O's.
I don't think I would consider Canales anywhere near what Bayno and Monty do and did from a hands on perspective. I do agree with you that if both of those two were gone we would be in a world of hurt. Prunty and Dean are very similiar, so whoever they would bring in needs to have an inate ability to work closely with the players, someone they look up to. I don't know how much of a coach they would need to be, I would look more to an ex-player, someone like a Brian Grant or in that mold.
It's a very real possibility. What are Nate's coaching commitments this summer with Team USA? Nothing right? He might be busier then he thought. On a related note, Maucie Lucas should have a job with the Blazers for as long as he wants one. Love the guy. True class. But he needs help. We need an additional big man coach. We've needed one for over a year now. Bayno is a good coach but putting him in big foam pads and having push our bigs around isn't the same as someone who's played the position.
