"God has put me on this platform so I can reach others, starting with my foundation. I get to reach all those people and get to share how God has blessed me in my life. Without Him, I'm nothing."http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writ...tter/index.html It's pathetic how little baseball is putting Pujols out there in the spotlight, but maybe it's a good thing that he can do what he does without all the attention. He's on pace to break the HR record this year. :happy0144:
Wow he really isnt getting any spotlight, but the season is still early. By the all star break he should get some spotlight.
Ah well. I guess the media is too busy covering Barry Bonds and his steroid record race. I would sort of want that though. I bet he plays better without the media creaping up his ass.
He's so quiet off the field and doesn't talk any trash. I remember seeing something on him about how he works with children who have been diagnosed with Downs Syndrome and I think that it really shows his characater. Imagine Barry Bonds trying that? I can see it now... :no1: (Downs Syndrome kid) "Hey Mr. Bonds, can you show me how to swing" :bat: "WANT ME TO USE THIS BAT ON YOU!?!?!?"
Albert Pujols will be a big person in a couple of years. I am hoping he breaks the single season home run record this year. He is on pace to do it and i want him to. He is an incredible player and i think he will make top 5 all time on the home run list if he keeps playing the way he is now.
That injury sure won't help...I hope he doesn't miss too many games, maybe he'll still have a shot. I doubt it though.
Yeah, too bad he's injured. That's his only real weakness. If it wasnt for his injuries he'd be much better than he is now. That would be scary

This is his first big injury... he has missed only 21 or 23 games since 2001, which is the third fewest amount out of any player in the league.
