Artest anyone? He practically turned the Kings around by himself.Marion getting third team?He is one of the most all-around players and I think should get more credit for what he does.If not for J O'Neal missing all those games i'm sure he would've made the team.
WTF? Carmelo over Kevin Garnett?!?! That's total BS. KG is still a top 3 big man in the NBA easily and so his team didn't win. Put KG on the Nuggets and see how far they would go. Melo over KG? WTF?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (AirBlaze @ May 17 2006, 06:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Where the F*ck do you think Pierce would stand? For the first team, Nash and Kobe both had better years. For the second team, Billups and Wade had better years. And for the third team, Arenas and Iverson had much better years. Also, besides Iverson who would just be in it anyways because of his 33 point per game average, all the others made the playoffs at Pierce's position. Once you've accumulated all this in your thick skull, and you still don't agree, why don't you become an NBA analyst and make the choices?</div>Haha ok, pal. Pierce went 25/7/5/1 shooting 47%. Arenas was 29/4/5/2 shooting 45%. Iverson was 33/3/7 shooting 45%. Obviously its subjective, but obviously theyll take Iverson because he's the big name. and Obviously theyll take Arenas because hes in the playoffs . Of those stat lines I see right there, I'd take Pierce and Arenas. But what do I know, I'm just a Celtics fan.

But the only person I would put him over is Arenas, but he made the playoffs and Pierce didn't. We won 33 games, and that is not gunna get you an All-NBA team selection. I'm still pissed about Garnett though. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!
Nice list, I pretty much agree with it except KG not being on the list. He deserves to be a on the 1 or 2 team easily. I think he got snubbed a little because Minnesota's not doing well and there's not that much news about him anymore

Paul Pierce is a big name too, you're just overrating him. The media doesn't underrate him, you Celtics fans just overrate him.
How do we overrate him? Because he has an amazing season, playing on a young and impressionable team, comes back after his terrible showing vs. Indy int he playoffs the year before and sets a beautiful example on and off the court, and leads way to his best year ever. Yeah, Im sure we overrate him a ton.

He's finally getting his glory. But other than that, the list is pretty good. Kinda looks the same just like every year. I would have voted for Big Z or Brad Miller over Yao, he shouldnt be on thereMarvin, Terry or Howard would have been on the fourth team...if there was one</div>Yao should definitely be there. He had a stretch where he was averaging what 25+ ppg and 20+ rebounds..there's 2 people in the NBA who can do that..him and KG. Yao Ming can take over games with ease, he just lacks the killer instinct.Zydrunas MAYBE could slip in as a third team and no way in hell does Brad Miller make it.
I was pretty upset to see that Pierce missed out on the third team, but I agree that all the players selected ahead of him have there reasons for being on the team as well. Something that surprised me was that Kevin Garnett didn't make any of the teams, I can't even remember the last time he wasn't up there. He has been declining a little bit, but numbers of 21 13 and 4 are pretty good, and he was also amongst the leagues best defenders again.
