He got hurt cus of his knucklehead idea to slide shoulder first into the Bills LB, either Spikes or Fletcher cant remember which one. That's when his shoulder tore for the first timeIn 2005, yes the line was awful, possibly the worst in the L but even then, he tore his shoulder when he got sacked but it wasnt a vicious hit. Fact is, he's softer than a cupcake and is not the long term at QB for the JetsThis is coming from a Jets fan
Definetly Micheal Vick. Everyone thinks he's so good just because he can run. The only reason for this is because we aren't used to having QB's like this but his throwing skills aren't going to cut it as being one of the best in the league.

i love mike vike(oviously not like that) but as a football player, i think hes the most overrated QB in the NFL. People hype him up so much but he doesen't really do anything for his team. Instead of trying to impress everyone else of him being a pocket QB he should just be like he was his first couple of yrs in the NFL when he was like the hugest xfactor in the NFL

You criticize him when he scrambles frequently in his early years, and now hes trying to become a better pocket passer and you criticize him for that. At the end of the day, Vick is still a top 5 QB because he is so dynamic and completely changes the way the game is played and the way defenses function. He IS an inaccurate passer, but most elite QB's have a target can go up and get the ball on their own which Vick doesn't have. Vick doesn't doesnt even have WR's that can consistantly CATCH the damn ball. Vick is an absolute talent, and hes underachieving a little bit, but he is still an elite qb in this league.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nygiants4life @ May 17 2006, 08:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Shut up dude, are you crazy? He's not even close to being treated as an elite QB. He's a rising star, but he has along way to go.And as for the elite receiving core...whos elite? Plaxico Burress is a borderline #1 receiver, Toomer is on the downside of his career and Shockey, well he's Shockey but he can only do so much.I mean Burress and Toomer is nothing special man..Your all being stupid now the kid had very dominant games and he had a bad playoff game that wasn't his fault. It makes no sense the kid is in his 3rd year now he's not overrated he's not even considered great..!!!As for most overrated I would say Brett Favre for the simple fact he throws way too many INTs and is not even a top 10 QB IMO with too many INTS and then Mike Vick because he makes Pro Bowls and he throws stats like 12 td, 12 int...that's just sad.Hater? Wow dude. Schaub is no where near Vick.Schaub had a good game against a NE secondary with 5 injured players including Rodney Harrison and their top 2 CBs and Tedy Bruschi I believe was just returning. He has not done well against any respectable defense.</div>Hater? I live in Atlanta, I support the Falcons. I think Mike Vick CAN be one of the most exciting players to watch, when he runs the ball. If I'm a hater, so is the entire city of Atlanta. Last Year Vick threw 15 TD's and 13 INT's. Thats pitiful. Thats even worse for a f*cking pro-bowler.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (T.O @ May 18 2006, 11:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Ok so Vick doesnt win games.....Soooo where do they get their wins from? He runs the ball and he acts like Walter Peyton jukin and sh*t, and everyone hypes him up to be like the duel threat QB. Then he gets tackled and hes hurt, or he bruised his pinkie or some gay sh*t. Im sick of him, Matt Shaub has better leadership and better skills than Vick. Vick does have the tools to be the best QB ever. Really that is true. But he hasn't even come near his potential. His accuracy sucks, he is a baby on the field. For the past 3 years I've heard he's adjusted to the West Coast offense, thats bull sh*t. He looks worse every year. No reason to believe this year is going to be any different. And you cant even fu*kin understand him when he talks.</div>exactly what this guy said, and don't get me wrong, I am a big Falcons fan and i live in Atlanta, he is great for the team because he brings in so much money, but Schaub is a better QB, end of story
Michael Vick isnt overrated. Mike Vick is a game changer, not a stat filler. He effects the game in many ways, even though he doesnt throw for a lot of yards and TDs. Lets look at their rush offense, his dual threat is obviously the reason why their rush offense is always miles ahead for number 1 rush offense year after year. And it makes other coaches change their gameplan, a great comparison was randall cunningham. If you want to say Vick is overrated, you have to mention Tom Brady also.
Why would you have to mention Tom Brady, as much as I hate the guy he has led his team to win 3 super bowls, and in my mind that does not make you overrated, that makes you a great QB. Plus the guy completed a pass from his ass, now that's skillful
Tom Brady isn't the most athletic player in the league. Tom Brady doesn't rush for more touchdowns than any QB in the league. Tom Brady has won 3 Super Bowls, Vick has NOT. He fills the stat sheet because he throws 1 TD, 2 INT's and rushes for a TD every game. Atlanta is number one in rushing primarly because of Warrick Dunn, and TJ Duckett. They both combine for 135+ every game. The only way Vick changes the game, is when he throws an interception and the opposing team runs it back for a touchdown. Thats the only way he effects it. He sucks.
Even though Im going to hate myself for saying this, Michael Vick. Even though he is very fun to watch, he is more of a RB than a QB. All he odes is run and get out of the pocket, a real QB stays in there and throws. When he is able to do that he will be unstoppable
Well, two seasons ago, Vick made it to the Conference Finals, but yeah, this 2005-2006 season, he was overrated.

Look what he did without Moss this year....! He was horrible! Its easy to be an outstanding QB when you can throw it up and have a guy like moss go get it, and when he didnt have anyone to do that he sucked balls! Although i think this year he will put miami in the playoffs because he has an explosive WR in Chris Chambers</div>Culpepper by the way had an injury all year not his knee injury but he had some other injury too..it was affecting him.

Their run defense was terrible, letting up like 120 some odd yards per game, which is in the bottom half of the league. So saying that he has an elite defense is a complete fabrication. I think that looking at how the team did when he was out for that season, finishing with like 4 wins, then making it to the conference championship next year when he was there says how valuable he is. I don't care if he doesn't rack up throwing yards, the way the team plays with him there is enough for me.

They win, also look at this, when Michael Vick came the Falcons were the worst team in the NFL, before he's turned 25 he had already taken them to the conference championship. Another thing is, if you dont think he's valuable to the team, why dont you watch how they play when he's injured. Tm Brady inherited a team that was built by Parcells, and redone by Belicheck, he is a great qb but he's had amazing tools around him for winning. Considering what Vick has had to work with since he was drafted, he's done a lot. Any qb who takes a team from 1st overall pick to conference championship game is not overrated no matter what his stats look like.

Vick posses so many tools to be a great QB, speed, a fu*kin cannon, etc..His WR's havent been nearly as good as you'd want, but they are turning into pretty good ones, Michael Jenkins, Roddy White, Dez White, and Alge Crumpler. Crumpler might be Vick's number one target, Hes freakin huge, and he can catch. So you can't say he doesn't have any receivers. He didn't make the playoffs last year, they lost like 8 games in a row. Michael Vick is not the Falcons offense. Warrick Dunn and TJ Duckett are the offense.
