Yaya Toure's agent claims that Barcelona are pricing his client out of a move away from the club and that Chelsea appear unwilling to match the financial demands of the Spanish champions. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=794524&sec=transfers&cc=5901
I'm secretly hoping that this is Barca's way of saying that they want to keep him and play him. I may be a pipe dream, but I'm hopeful.
I won't have regular internet access until I move later in the month. Looks like every other or every three days is my best bet. Bummed that I won't be on here for the US World Cup matches. And I want Yaya to stay with Barcelona because I think they need a tough guy in the midfield, a strong tackler and defensive presence who will let Iniesta and Xavi be attackers. Yaya does that, Busquets or Cesc won't.
That's why I don't get the move. Its not as extreme as Madrid dumping Makelele for Beckham, but it sends the same message. Considering that Pep played the same role at the Nou Camp for 10 years, I don't get why he would do it.
