Matt Brown, attackman for the Denver Outlaws, was named the Offensive Player of the Week for his performance last weekend.

Brown was honored for his stellar performance against the Long Island Lizards, in which the Outlaws came away with the win, scoring 15 points to the Lizards 10. Brown was perfect shooting the ball against Long Island, netting five goals on just five shots, which included a power play goal and an assist, for a total of six points.

Known for his accuracy, Brown led all full season starters during the 2009 season with a .511 shooting percentage and has kept pace with last years success with an outstanding .500 shooting percentage this year; tallying 10 goals on 20 shots. Currently, Brown sits at 11 total points on the year, after his effort against the Lizards last weekend.

The Outlaws selected Brown with the No. 43 overall pick in the 2005 MLL Supplemental Draft. Brown is a graduate of the University of Denver and was First Team All-GWLL in his senior season and also ranks fourth all time for the Pioneers with 113 career goals.

Having played with the Outlaws since their inaugural season in 2006, Brown hopes continue his success and aid the Outlaws with another run at the playoffs this year. Brown and the Outlaws play their second of four straight road games this Saturday, June 12 and look to get their third straight victory of the year as they take on the Boston Cannons, who are two and two on the season.

The Outlaws will be hosting a viewing party at the Ice House Tavern in Downtown Denver for fans to cheer on Brown and the rest of the Outlaws as they take on the Cannons at 1pm on Saturday, June 12. The game is also viewable on ESPN2. Following their month long road trip, the Outlaws will be back in Denver on July 4, as they take on the Chesapeake Bayhawks and host Denver's only postgame fireworks show.
