Arenas averaged a career-high 29.3 points per game this season and ranked as the NBA?s fourth leading scorer. In an historic season for Arenas, the All-Star guard owned the second-highest single season scoring average in Wizards? franchise history (Walt Bellamy, 31.6 ppg in 1961-62). He scored at least 30 points in 42 of his 80 games played, and his 11 games with 40+ points this season ranked third in the NBA. A three-time Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Arenas also finished among the league leaders in three-point field goals made (2nd), minutes per game (3rd), free throws made (3rd), steals per game (4th) and assists per game (18th), and with his teammates Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison, Arenas was a part of the NBA?s highest scoring teammate trio (67.4 ppg). Arenas was one of 15 players league wide to be selected to one of the three All-NBA teams. He deserves it. The man averages like 29 ppg. He is so explosive off the dribble and he is an excellent shooter as well. It is almost impossible to contain him. And the scary thing is, he get's even better once the game progresses. The man averaged 29 ppg so they will automatically have to fit him in there.
no..today is may 17.And goin to what CB4 said.. you are exaclty right. Arenas is one of the best in the league at penetrating through the lane and getting a basket. He is extremely good with shooting and he is a player that gets better and better every day.
XD my bad i thought it was all-star But yeah Gilbert is a great player and deserved to be in an All-NBA team. In the years to come I want to see him progress and possibely reach 2nd or 1st.
Its sad because he is a 1st team quality player but with Nash, Iverson and Billups right now it's near impossible..Kidd too.
Well, I dont think he's quite at that level yet, he's shown alot improvements in his game this year, and he needs to bring 50 wins to DC, if he should be up there with guys like Nash or Billups. Definitely deserved it though, congrats Gil.
