I don't know about abandoning the team but I will have my doubts about this teams future if we do get rid of KP....You don't get rid of a top 5 player....why get rid of a top 5 GM?

I would say, because by his/her own admission rape, wife beating, dog fighting et al did not cause him/her to abandon the team but firing a GM, for reasons that may or may not be valid (we just don't know) would? I mean, I think KP has done a very good job but I still don't go to games to admire his clothing. And of course we also don't know if he/she signed his/her real name or a pseudonym. As for not using real names, all of us here are in the same glass house.
I hope KP and his staff have a kick ass draft, make a great trade or two, and make it real hard for Vulcan to fire him.
Actually it does. He loves the team for decades - through thick and thin. He is happy with the recent improvement of the team. He claims he will abandon his team after all this time, and during a "good" period, if the team parts ways with the GM. Why doesn't he wait to see if there was a good reason? Why doesn't he wait to see if the team declines first? Why doesn't he wait to see if the team makes good moves without the Golden Boy? Yep, he is an idiot.
