Any ideas? I think Smush Parker will most likely stay with the starting point guard role, but if they do decide to bench him, who do you think will replace him. List players on the team (if you think there is anyone) and free agents, and other players who could be in a possible trade.

How would we get Marcus Banks? We used to have him for a couple of weeks, in the 03-04 offseason.

I think he's a free agent, if your looking for a pg, a good option for the MLE is Speedy Claxton, possibly Sam Cassell as well.

Sam Casselle would be a great fit for the Lakers, he's just the kind of guy we need. But is it possible to go down?

And to answer Eliiite's question of is it possible, i really think it is. If i'm the Clippers i'm thinking I want Shaun Livingston in the starting point guard position and we all know Cassell wouldnt agree with coming off the bench. I think Cassell would be a great addition to the Lakers not only due to his play, but he would help Kobe get on to these guys when they werent playing like they should. He has that tough menatality that would help Odom and Kwame's passive play. Cassell would be the best i think. They could also draft a point gaurd, but with this year's poor depth at point, i'm not sure. I'm thinking they could get a guy like Rajon Rondo, Quincy Douby, Kyle Lowery(if he doesnt go back to school).I'm not sure what other great possiblities there are.

I'm hearing a lot about Rajon Rondo, hes suposedly really fast and has great body control. Also, I dont think Cassell wants to come to the Lakers.

Yeah, but that doesnt mean he wants to come to the Lakers. He said in an interview for Sports Illustrated a couple monthes ago, "I will retire in two years, and I want to stay with the Clippers" or something like that but I know he mentioned he wanted to stay with the Clippers. The Clippers have a good chance of making the West Finals so I dont know if he would want to come to the Lakers after that.

Smush Parker. Thats all the Lakers need. A guy that can make open shots off double team passes from Kobe. Smush has been a consistent target for Kobe this year. He is very young, I say they stick with him. I expect them to add a veteran guard though. Maybe Flip murray or Speedy Claxton.

I actually would love to see Speedy Claxton come to the Lakers next year. He would start, and Smush would back him up. But Smush wasn't that consistent this year. The only reason he averaged 11 ppg this year is because a quarter of the games he scored around 20 PPG another quarter around 12 ppg and the other half he scored like 5 ppg. He consistently misses open jays. But dont get me wrong I love Smush. he makes crazy dunks from far away from the basket. he has long reach.

I've also heard rumours that the Lakers will make a run at Marcus Banks. I think that would be a solid signing for the Lakers. I dont think they'll get Cassell or Claxton, even though they would be better than Banks. Banks is a solid player. I also wouldnt be suprised if Sasha came back next year and was a better player and battle Smush for that starting gaurd spot.

Sasha is a Shooting Guard. He plays Point Guard a lot but he's 6'7, he's better off shooting the ball, because that's his strength; shooting. He can't run an offense! Smush does a better job of that. But you're right, I wouldn't be suprised if he came back as a better, more mature player. He needs to add a few pounds on to his body man. He's a skinny prick.

I rather have Marcus Williams than Marcus Banks or Sam Cassell. Marcus Williams shows more talent and promise than Banks, and he is younger than Cassell is.
