here's the scenario........coach-larry brownrostermarbury/nate dawwwwg :happy0144: crawford :happy0144: /richardson/udokawoods/lee :worthy: /rosefrye :happy0144: /malikcurry /big snacks :Swoon: i didn't list that scrub francis because i think he's out of the picture. marbury, i don't think is getting traded. with that roster and hopefully some solid draft picks how good can the knicks be next year.i think they win 8-10 more games because it's brown's second year back that's all depending on if he's bought out or not. as of right now he's the coach.
I think they will do much better, unless they drop L. Brown.maybe they can jock for plaoff contention.
No Francis? Im assuming you have him getting traded in this scenario..Any other changes you would want to see happen to the club in the offseason?
Playoff contention, maybe 8 seed in the East? It's possible, I mean the East really sucks, but the Magic are improving too.I think we can be a 32-34 win team. This is if and ONLY if1. Larry Brown does not get fired.2. Isiah Thomas gets fired/becomes a front office guy just for drafting or by the glory of god does not make a brain boggling trade.3. Marbury decides to listen to Larry, the best coach he'll ever have.4. Curry can learn to rebound, at least a decent rebounder.I think all of this can happen, and while 1 and 2 are in our power, 3 and 4 have some chance of occuring and hopefully they will.If Marbury can't get his act together hopefully Nate Robinson can step up, I mean he really did answer the call when he was put in a starting role last year. He needs to cut down on turnovers, mostly he needs to stop going on 1 man fast-breaks because he's too small and not fast enough for that anymore.I really think that this off-season will make or break the Knicks for the next decade. If we fire Brown, we're condemning ourselves to #1 picks and if we keep him we can eventually become a respectable club again.I have alot of faith in Larry Brown as a coach, and I really do not think he gave his 110% effort last season. If he really wanted to he could have drained himself in efforts to improve the Knicks but Marbury just made it too hard. I think Larry really has something to prove if he wants to stay in New York though, although if I were Dolan I would keep him until he leaves or contract expires.Hopefully our lineup would be Marbury PG, Gordon/Crawford SG, Richardson SF, Frye/Lee PF, Curry/Butler C. This way we have alot of big bodies so we can afford to get injured and rest our players and we have all explosive shooters and scorers as little guys. There is not a single player there who can't go for 30 on a given night.
Of course they can be better. But they cant make any radical changes to bring in more knuckleheads or else they will get worse, which'll be embarassing

Less they trade marbury and or steve and have Curry lose some of those pounds he added in ny they gonna be the same. If They can make smart moves they can gosomewhere. But i dont see it yet
curry didn't really have the summer to workout and lose the weight he wanted to because of the heart condition. now he does so i think he will lose some weight and refine his skills. at least that's what he says.
Well it certianly cannot get any worse for the New York :aggressive: Knicks.Last year, the Knicks were so horrible, a great college team like Duke could defeat them.

Posting so much spam isn't gonna cut it. BTW I think that the Knicks might give a run at the Playoffs.
Knicks need to get rid of Jalen Rose, Stephon Marbury, and Allan Houston's contract. Then they would have this lineupG- Steve FrancisSG- Quentin RichardsonSF- Channing FryePF- Malik RoseC - Eddy Curry6th man: Jamal Crawford Key is to keep Larry Brown. If Eddy Curry improves, I can see that lineup get somewhere. I'm a Knicks fan, so I'm hoping for the best for the Knicks. This would be their 2nd unitG- Nate RobinsonSG- Jamal CrawfordSF- David LeePF- Maurice TaylorC- Jackie ButlerThe Knicks were in contention to win the Atlantic Divison TItle in the 04-05 season but fell apart midway through the season.
let's hope they come to play next season so all the haters can shut their mouths and pick on some other team.
