This team is on an absolute roll and it doesn't look like it's going to end soon. We had a 9 game losing streak early in the season, but if you look at our current roster almost half of our everyday lineup are hitting below their career averages: Chipper Jones, Brian McCann, Yunel Escobar, Melky Cabrera, and Nate McLouth aren't even really close to their career averages. Jason Heyward has been in a gigantic slump and is down to 265(I'd be surprised if he's not hitting 280 when the season ends) Martin Prado, Troy Glaus, Eric Hinske, and Omar Infante are really the only guys that are hitting above their career averages and Hinske and Infante have been situational players most of the season. We have been without our best starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens throughout most of the season. Derek Lowe and Kenshin Kawakami's overall numbers look bad, but they have really pitched well in the last month or so. Tim Hudson is back and has been an ace. Tommy Hanson has been a little shaky lately, but he's still got ace stuff. Kris Medlen who has filled in for Jurrjens since he's been out has been lights out. It's gonna be hard to take him out of the rotation as he's been probably our 2nd best pitcher during this streak. Then you look at the pen, Billy Wagner has absolutely nasty stuff still with a very high K/9 ratio. Johnny Venters has really come on strong to go with the workhorse that is Peter Moylan. Takashi Saito should be coming back soon to add another right handed arm. Eric O'Flaherty has been a great lefty specialist that's been required to pitch to righties. This team still hasn't played up to its full potential which is a very scary thing for the rest of the NL East.
