I've been trying to for the past 2-3 years. The only thing that's been putting me off is watching a bunch of games just to figure out a team I can root for.
I would personally go area wise. Jets, Giants, Eagles, Ravens, Bills, Redskins. Something around there. Jets have the most talent, well Ravens too. Ravens and Jets are top 2 out of this list for me.
I was actually planning to check out the Jets games. I've seen some Giants games before, and for some reason they don't appeal much to me.
Yeah Jets > Giants. But my favorite New York team is the Buffalo Bills. For some reason I have always liked them.
Base defenses usually send 3 or 4 guys after the QB each play, a blitz is when an extra player (or multiple players) are sent after the Qb instead of playing back in coverage.
it is a running play where the offense makes it appear that they are going to run it to one side, but quickly reverse it back the other way
Running back takes a step in one direction, then reverses to the other side while taking the handoff.
Oh, and blitzes are effective mostly against young QBs and bad QBs. Guys like Brees and Mannignj will eat you alive if you blitz them too often. You need very good defensive backs, too, because they are usually left in single coverage. You also need good pass rushers who can get to the QB fast enough. Teams blitz mostly in long yardage situations. 2nd and 12, 3rd and 8, 3rd and 5, etc
Just to piggy back the best way to blitz is to send different players at the QB. You are definitely better off mixing up your blitzing schemes with linebackers, safeties, and corner backs. Like 44 implied the best way to beat a good QB is to get enough pressure from your defensive line without having to call too many blitzes while mixing up some blitzes from different spots on the field to keep the QB and the offensive line guessing on who to pick up.
