Re: Strikeforce: Los Angeles (Jun. 16th) Several fighters have dropped out of this card including Bobby Lashley. Again, Strikeforce has a few weeks to put together six or so more fights to fill out this card. I guess the message is if you are a Strikeforce fighter, be training 24/7.
Re: Strikeforce: Los Angeles (Jun. 16th) ahh...now i remember why. E3 is at the same time and its for a release for the EA sports MMA game.
Re: Strikeforce: Los Angeles (Jun. 16th) STILL only five fights announced for this event. Four, actually, since the del Rosario fight is unofficial.
Re: Strikeforce: Los Angeles (Jun. 16th) ^ Yeah I'm not sure what to make of this. Maybe it's only a little fight card to begin with? Maybe they have four or five more prelim fights set up that they haven't announced? Strange we haven't heard about it hardly.
Re: Strikeforce: Los Angeles (Jun. 16th) Card finalized. Only six fights.

Pretty good action on what was a brief card. I didn't get to see Noons vs. Huen but supposedly the judge that had all rounds for Huen was on crack. Kennedy vs. Prangley was over quick and no camera angle caught the RNC/gable choke that Kennedy was able to utilize. Santos vs. Zaromskis was also over quick but it was action packed. Zaromskis looked great crushing cans in Japan but since coming stateside he has been completely exposed (like EVERY Dream fighter so far). Dunno where he goes from here. Santos looked good at welterweight but honestly the guy is just a middling fighter at best. Sobral vs. Lawler was surprising. I was expecting Lawler to clip him and put him out. Lawler looked lazy during the fight, like his conditioning was no good. Sobral got rocked with shots many times during the fight but kept firing back. Good leg and body kicks by Sobral were the story of the fight. I had it one round each going into the third. The first three minutes of the third were back and fourth but the last two minutes were Lawler chasing Sobral and landing hard punches. I was stunned all three refs scored the third for Sobral. Sobral/Lawal is not a great match-up but SF doesn't have a lot to offer King Mo right now. Dunno where Lawler goes from here. Supposedly Dana White wants him back in the UFC.
