With Bonds coming up on 714 and 715, if you were a pitcher, would you pitch to Bonds? Bonds has really slowed down the last 2 seasons as we have all seen. If i was a pitcher i would go after Bonds every time he came up to bat. I'm not saying i would do like Russ Springer and go head hunting, but i sure as hell would challenge him. He just isnt the hitter he was before. The only thing that would make me rethink my strategy is that i wouldnt want to be forever remembered at a trivia question for years to come. Who was the pitcher that Barry Bonds hit his 714 homer off of?
i'd throw him a ripe fastball right down the middle so the media can shut the F*ck up about this guy already. im so sick of hearing barry bonds this, barry bonds that, im about to friggin jump off a bridge. just let him pass babe ruth, and get on with your life.
I would. Because, either way he is gonna get it. Just let the media get a hold of themselves already.
I would start him off with a 1st pitch strike. Then throw him an inside splitter, to see if he chases it. If he does, attempt to strike him out on the next pitch. If I dont strike him out I put the next pitch towards his face, and hopefuly I hit him.
Id throw inside so that he backs off from the plate, then a strike right in the zone, then another one that almost hits him, then a slider, then a low one that almost hits him followed by a outside strike 3.
Just pitch it down and in to him. It will be very hard for Bonds to reach a bi*ch like that. Or just throw it at his leg at 95 mph and make sure that he never passes Ruth.
I would. He's not as good as he used to be. Now he is way overhyped by the media and now ballclubs are still scared to pitch to him but there are other guys that I wouldn't pitch to like Albert Pujols and David Ortiz.
