The Sacramento Kings, who own the No. 5 selection in the NBA draft, need size in the frontcourt. They'll get to watch two of the best big men go at each other during a workout Saturday.

"Derrick Favors workout in Sacramento on Saturday is against DeMarcus Cousins. Workout of the year so far," ESPN.com's Chad Ford tweeted Wednesday night.

Ford has Favors going No. 3 to the Nets and Cousins No. 6 to the Warriors in his mock draft 4.0. Ford has the Kings taking Georgetown's Greg Monroe at No. 5.

Kings leaning towards taking a big man

"Last year it took us until the day of the draft to nail this pick for the Kings, and I have a feeling it's going that direction again this year. I don't have a good feel for which way the Kings are leaning. That's partly because the Kings play things close to the vest. It's also because there is no consensus player at No. 5. On talent, it's DeMarcus Cousins all the way if he's still available. But Cousins makes some teams wary, and I'm told the Kings are among those teams that, for the moment, are unsure. That leads us to Monroe. He has the talent and size to be a legit NBA center. He's the best passer in the draft and is offensively gifted. He takes games off on occasion and lacks a killer instinct, but the talent is there. The fact that a number of veteran NBA GMs have compared him to Vlade Divac shouldn't hurt."

Sacramento actually posts videos from workouts and interviews, so hopefully they post some stuff on this.

This was this past Saturday, right? Why didn't we hear more about this? Did they play against each other or what?

They didn't go one on one against each other. Heard Cousins was SCORCHING shooting the ball from all over and had the best FG% of all prospects who have come through Sac so far (can't remember the exact number but it was in the 70% range IIRC). Probably mostly close and mid-range shots but still impressive.

    Didn't read anything about Favors.

Yup. Sac is saying Cousins or Favors depending on who drops.
