Mainly "Go" got a lot of plays. Nevertheless, still a great rapper.

Mos Def is one of the more famous rappers in the world (especially now he is in Hollywood). RZA was part of the Wu-Tang as was Ghostface Killa so they are fairly well known too.

So Q-Tip, Masta Ace, Big Boi, Kool Moe Dee, Treach, Cee-Lo, Big L, Black Thought, Keith Murray, MC Shan, Jeru, Prodigy, Bun B, Canibus, DMX, Lord Finesse, AZ, DOC, MC Ren, Del, Schooly D, OC, Royce Da 5?9 aren't underground?Big L and DMX are probably the only ones that aren't underground there but the rest are.

Big L underground? He had his own label and produced 2 cd's, and was in the "4 deadly MC's" with 2pac, Biggie, and Big Pun. DMX is also definitely not underground, neither is Q-Tip.

It still doesn't make him underground. Kool Moe Dee and Keith Murray are not small underground rappers either.

Just because they dont get much airplay doesn't make them underground. Just makes them "good"AZ might be underground but regardless of mainstream, underground w/e he's one of the most underrated rappers in the history of hip hop. Most ppl think im talking about Jay-Z when I say I'm listening to AZ

How would you consider a rapper underground, not having been on mtv, radio etc.. or the content of their music?

I consider underground anyone who doesn't release mainstream CD's, and stays on the mixtape circuit.

Not sure if these raps are underground, but I really like Young Joc's song, 'It's going down', and Papoose's song 'Faces of Death'.

Lupe Fiasco....All of his mixtapes are tight. I dont think he underground anymore though. He just came out with his first video, and his album is dropping late june. I got it about a month ago though, and the album is good too. Check it out once it comes out.
