Well this has to be done a little early, much to the disappointment of myself and countless other Net fans. However, the end of one thing is the start of a new beginning and the first season of this experiment has been mildly successful. They went 49-33 and despite going down 4-1 in the second round of the playoffs, they put more of a fight than the box scores would show. Inoppurtune turnovers, missed shots and FTs did the Nets in, but anybody who watched it said that the final 3 games could have gone either way and, unluckiliy for the Nets, the ball didn't bounce their way. With that being said, here goes nothing.a) Lawrence Frank has got to go. I don't care what the beat writers say about Frank being a great Xs and Os guy, the team loves him, management wants to have his babies w/e. Fact is, with the game on the line, he makes the worst decisions. Offensively, he is extremely unimaginative, especially in late game situations. Isolations for Vince Carter will not work every time, especially in the playoffs. And, in the playoffs, he NEVER makes adjustments. Even Jefferson said that after game 4 of the Indiana series, they made no adjustments after losing game 3. That's why he will continually to get outcoached in playoff series. Eventually, he will learn in a few years but Kidd is 33 and Carter will be 30 next year. The Nets' time is running out of time and they need to win NOW and they need a coach who can help them achieve that. I think Frank should be kept as an assistant to help the team with defense, which is where he is very strong.I want Rick Adelman to coach this team. He's great at teaching a team concept and his offensive sets are amazing and are very tough to crack. Nenad Krstic is an underrated passer and he could play the role that Vlade held in the Kings' offense. Adelman would be a perfect fit for this teamb) Keep the starting lineup completely untouched. This team's trouble is clearly with depth at every single position. I think Bostjan Nachbar can be huge for this team with a full training camp under his belt. He's played well in spurts and I think he can be a big contributor. Padgett, John Thomas, McInnis, and Vaughn are gone for sure. c) Trade Antoine Wright for J.R Smith straight up. Many teams will be turned off from JR Smith's bad attitude but with the right coaching, I think he could be a great scorer off the bench. I think he really wants to help out some other team to show Byron Scott that me made a mistake. He's got a great leader in Jason Kidd to look up to also. He can jump out of the gym and has unlimited range. Sounds like a player who starts for us..d) Use trade exception and a first round (preferably second round) pick to acquire one of the Milwaukee Bucks backup PGs. Maurice Williams or Charlie Bell would be great fits for the Nets, especially Bell. Bell is a good three point shooter, a tough defender and is multi talented, as witnessed by his triple double a month or two ago. Maurice Williams is a sparkplug off the bench and is a good playmaker so he would be awesome spelling Kidd as well. The Bucks have a logjam at the point and they want as much as help as they can get without adding much salary so a draft pick should be very appealing to them.e) Sign Lorenzen Wright to 3 years for the midlevel exception. He's a good offensive player and a way underrated defender. He never fit into the plans in Memphis, but he certainly will in NJ where size is at a premium and we need inside scoring off the bench really badly. f) Draft Josh Boone. He's long, tall and athletic plus that's six more fouls on Shaq.g) Bring back Murray and Robinson. Why bring back Robinson after he deserted the team? Well, in reality, while Robinson's absence hurt, it certainly was not the sole factor leading to our defeat. I feel that he truly is sorry and that he won't make the same mistake twice (his last suspension was not for a failed test, it was cus of a missed call from the league's anti-drug ppl). He is a good defender, a decent long range shooter and he is a veteran presence. Murray has earned the trust of his teammates and is a good shooter who is willing to play PF when neededf) Use 1.6 million exception to round out the bench and to fill the 15 player maximumI think that just about wraps it out. After this, our team looks like...StartingPG- Jason KiddSG- Vince CarterSF- Richard JeffersonPF- Jason CollinsC- Nenad KrsticBenchPG- Charlie Bell or Maurice WilliamsSG- JR SmithSF- Lamond MurrayPF- Cliff Robinson and Josh BooneC- Lorenzen WrightI think that these changes will fill out the holes in the Nets bench and a new coach could be huge for the offense and the bench. Another problem with Frank was he trusted nobody off his bench and that lowered their confidence. Hopefully we'll never have to see that problem again

Mo Williams alone would probably cost us the entire MLE. I dont think its possible to get all the guys you propose acquiring assuming you want to sign them as free agents.Although I like Frank, alot of talk has occured about him getting fired. It would be beneficial to return to more of a Princeton type offense we had with Byron Scott, which he adapted off Adelman's Sacramento playbook. I think for that reason he would be a nice option to consider, but personaly, Id like to see Frank stay for now..

Bring him to NJ Thorn! Or Charlie Bell! THe choice is yours

Ok I see your thinking with that, but what makes you think Milwaukee would want to give him up? He was a big part of their team last season and Im sure they would like to keep him. I dont see them giving him up for the TE..Financially it may work out that way, but I dont see them agreeing to it personally..

Well they cant have 3 good PGs and expect them all to be happy. Plus, they might want to get under the tax threshold so this way they can get a draft pick and lower their payrollAnd they're trying to turn the club into a more defensive minded team and Mo Williams isn't the world's greatest defender but the Nets issue isn't with defense because they play good team DWith 2 first rounders, also, they could move into the top 10 and select another cornerstone for their franchise.

Yeah, they both bring different things to the table. Bell is more of a complete player, but Mo gives you instant scoring..They would both be great off the bench for us..

They can give Kidd at least 15 minutes of rest a night no problem. My preference would be for Kidd to play 30 minutes a game in the regular season. Nothing more, nothing less. I have no doubt that Bell can hold the fort for around 20 minutes a game.

I agree, Kidd is getting up tehre in age and we need him at full strenght for the playoffs. We need to get him a suitable backup who can provide rest without letting the game slip away..

I was impressed with Wright when I saw him play 40 minutes against Dallas and get a double double with 5 offensive rebounds and 3 blocks. I think he's a good scorer and certainly an underrated defender and he should be availible for about the mid level

We thought the same thing about Marc Jackson when we brought him in. We thought hed replace Collins in the starting five and give us a big guy to depend on, yet he never really got into the rotation before getting dealt..

Wright is kinda like Bruce Bowen. He is supouse to be sick on defense and he had a 3 ball game in college so we shouldn't give up on him.
