Peja! Or Jerry Stackhouse (twice), Big Z, Wally World, Michael Finley, Jermaine O'Neal, Brad Miller, Antoine Walker, Mehmet Okur... Boy, being an All-Star just isn't that much of an honor after seeing that list. Disturbing thoughts: Vince Carter? Andrei Kirilenko? Michael Redd? Rip Hamilton? Josh Howard? If it really is Rashard Lewis or Mo Williams, I will be pretty pissed.
http://sportstwo.com/threads/159955-Sixers-willing-to-trade-2-pick-with-Elton-Brand Another way to look at this is you're paying the #2 pick Brand's paycheck and Brand the #2's paycheck. Plus whatever salaries you lose to match Brand's salary.
If it's for a power forward, it means we are probably either moving Aldridge in that deal, or in a separate deal. I would like to see Bosh or Amare. Iggy would be good, but I don't think he makes us a contender. Joe Johnson would be an amazing pickup. I don't know.... I want a point guard.
Totally disagree. I think Joe Johnson is HUGELY overrated, and I think that was evident in the playoffs. Plus he'd either be an undersized (and rather average) SF or Brandon's backup. Fortunately he's a UFA, and thus unavailable before KP's fired.
My guess is Baron Davis and they are trying to find a third team to take Joel's contract with Andre going to the Clips.
I saw one of those the other week at a local junkyard. I was taken aback by just how much of a piece of shit it was. The toy Le-car I had as a kid wasn't that shitty..but probably had as much horsepower.
The players team can communicate with the player, and agent, but other teams can't. That is why Kerr and Mark Cuban already got fined for just suggesting they want LeBron. KP can't start working out a sign and trade for July 1 with a free agent. Do teams break the rules, probably, but it is a risk if you get caught( loss of draft picks, fines etc). If KP is working on a blockbuster deal with a Allstar around the draft, it will not be Bosh, LeBron, Joe Johnson, Amare, or Wade. Parker, Iggy, Grange, Paul are under contract and can be traded for. Others please chime in if I am right or wrong.
I think it's ridiculous to think Monty wouldn't have taken the New Orleans job had he known CP3 was going to be traded. I would bet any thing that CP3's playing status in New Orleans wasn't even discussed during the interview process. A head coaching job for Monty is a step he would have taken with any team, under any circumstance, IMO. I know he was somewhat coveted, but the dude was New Orleans SECOND choice. Not their first. New Orleans trading CP3 has NOTHING to do with Monty taking their HC job. I say it's CP3 or Nash. Kerr bounced for more reasons than just wanting to take an easier job broadcasting. Amare is gonzo, and Phoenix will go in to rebuild mode. They would deal Nash. Nash or CP3 could likely save KP's job as well. That's my guess.
I take Baron since he is three years younger and a threat from 3. I also think having someone that is less of a loner at PG would be beneficial.
