"The mystery of linebacker K.C. Asiodu has apparently been solved. Asiodu was one of six players not on the field for Tuesday's practice, but his name was not announced with the five others that were placed on waivers. Wednesday, Asiodu's name was still on the roster, although he wasn't on the practice field. According to sources, the Rams were working on an injury settlement with Asiodu, who wasn't known to have missed any practices during the OTAs. After practice Wednesday, coach Steve Spagnuolo would say only that a move would be made with Asiodu "today or tomorrow." When asked if the delay was related to an injury settlement, Spagnuolo said that executive vice president of football operations/chief operating officer Kevin Demoff "is working through it right now. I'm going to let him take care of it and when it comes out, it'll come out." Nothing official was reported to the league Wednesday. Asiodu and cornerback Cord Parks, who was released Tuesday, had been with the team during the 2009 season. They are being let go, while other rookie undrafted free agents remain on the roster. Asked if it's tougher to release a player that has been with the team longer, Spagnuolo said, "It's harder because you spend some time with them and you like to grow to get to know those guys. It's not easy. It's probably the part of the business I like the least cause it's the human part of it." Parks was picked up on waivers by the Seattle Seahawks Wednesday." http://www.globe-democrat.com/news/2010/jun/17/rams-notebook-team-apparently-working-settlement-a/
