Last night's lakers "win" got me thinking. In this world, its essentially being run by crooks and "bad" people. Many of the most successful people are crooks running monopolies (Gates, CArlos Slim, Walmart, David Stern). It extends outwards in other arenas too. Sure, nice and good people can be happy, but when we're talking about "winning", it seems that bad things always happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. Evil dictators run nations, big business runs all, whatever. Sure, some get caught (i.e. Madoff), but they always end up winning in the long run. Here and there, there are a few "good" people that may persevere and do well, but those are pretty isolated.....Extends to politics. Maybe the "Darkside" is the path to enlightenment?
Manchester United are cheats but they are the most successful club in England, Italy cheated their way to the World Cup final on '06 and won it... You're on to something.
Bill Gates is an extraordinary entrepreneur who has created products the whole world uses. What have YOU ever created? Bill Gates has given away billions of dollars, in efforts to eradicate disease and help the poor. What have YOU ever given away? What a joke.
Re: Re: Does Evil Always Win? He's done this through monopolistic business practices over decades. If someone steals $100 and donates 99...is he good?
So you're going to say that him often strong-arming software manufactures to choose him over mac or linux is the same as stealing someone's money?
Texas won't be in the Pac 16 because the college demanded extra money at the last minute. Everything in Texas is evil, especially the Oklahoma part.
