Capello being paid 8 million pounds a year to coach England into 2 pts for the first two games. WOW

I think the Media for every country does the same, at least here in Mexico, it appears to be the same as England. The media makes the players look super powerful, mythical, you name it. So when the nation ends up losing a match, the whole media who hyped you up, suddenly turns on you and tears you to pieces along with it's fans.

It happens every tournament and the English populace are gullible enough to believe. That could be a bit harsh, maybe the English want to believe it. I'm hoping we can bounce back but I'm on a news hiatus.

Capello is a great coach. It is near impossible to weld a bunch of players with over-inflated egos.

was listening to a sports show from my country and some guy said england has brought a team to south africa with 11 captains, every single player thinks he's the man, there's no teamwork really, like we're seeing these smaller nations. (kinda like when real madrid got all the stars, ronaldo - beckham - zidane)

The only players I respect are Rooney, Barry, Johnson, Cole, Crouch, Defoe, and James.

Well , there's lots of distractions which can affect the team play. Some players are too concerned with their image and their sponsors, they don't want to play second fiddle to anyone and those ego problems are probably costing them, hell is going to break loose if they don't make the next round, that 4 sure.

The United States' media is no different. They believed Slovenia and Algeria would be easy and that England and the USA were practically already through before the tournament even began.

That may be true, but that is an easy assessment to make if you aren't familiar with football. The English media is notorious for stirring the biggest pot of shit then dishing it out to every newspaper. The lies they feed are incredible.

Anyway, hats off to Algeria, played their heart out and deserved the point.

I'm on about the sports media here, which are quite familiar with the sport. The problem is that both sides seem to make predictions based on FIFA rankings and history. lol

I had a huge reply all typed out, but I lost it because of this stupid free wifi I'm trying to use.

As I was called out previously, I'm not here because I'm between employment (I actually have a job lined up and am starting in July) and at my parents house for June, where I don't have good internet access, so I'm not here to do my regular play by play of US matches.

To summarize it, I still say the US are a good team (there's a difference between Brazil/Spain, great, and good) and I could write pages and pages about why and I will after the Cup is over in July, USA will beat Algeria, and Slovenia get a result against England.

USA will definitely beat Algeria, I predict 3-0. That's right, no goals allowed.
