The new look is now official. Check out warriors.com. As expected (and leaked), the new logo incorporate the new Bay Bridge. It's kind of funny how the new span is far from done, but what the hell, it looks a lot better, IMO. I like the new look. The colors are right and the logo pays homage to the City jerseys. It is far, far better than the Thunder theme. I know the Thunder theme was trying to associate itself with "Warrior" but come on, they were wretched! Here's to a new look and hopefully many more new things to come! Oh, and I guess this means we have to change the forum colors now.
What's interesting is the "2ndary Logo B" It's a blue basketball with a yellow "SF" in it???? http://www.nba.com/warriors/history/warriors_logo_evolution.html
Like the logo but the jersey doesn't look that good... granted thats a pretty low quality sketch of the jersey lol. There's too much white and it looks too much like a Pacers jersey. Outside of that I love the colors and the alternative logos too. If the away jersey is mostly blue or yellow I reckon it would look a lot cooler than the home one. For better or worse its a HUGE upgrade over the 1997-2010 scheme they had going.
Wow, I hope that home uni isn't really white, that's awful. I thought they would go with reversed blue on the yellow, that would look sharp. It's still an improvement but they kind of blew it with the white if you ask me.
Did anyone notice the old uniform examples used #8 and the new ones use #30? I wonder who #8 and #30 are...
Haha, good catch. It's actually a good trivia question to name all the Warriors represented by their numbers. #10 - Jumpin' Joe Fulks #13 - Wilt Chamberlain #14 - Tom Meschery? (I had no clue on this one, had to look it up) #16 - Al Attles #42 - Nate Thurmond #24 - Rick Barry #45 - Purvis Short #17 - Mullin #33 - Jamison #8 - Monta #30 - Curry
Awesome! Sorry, I didn't meant to sound like an entitled shithead. I just thought it would be cool to see.
I like the logo. I thought Thunder was a little to "arcade" - like if that makes sense. The new logo seems more classy.
