The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have added import linebacker Merrill Johnson to their roster. Johnson (6-0, 206, Auburn, DOB: November 22, 1985 in Butler, Alabama) played four years with the Tigers making 122 tackles, two sacks and forcing one fumble. In his freshman year, he was named to The Sporting News SEC All-Freshman Team. Johnson attended a rookie-mini-camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2009, but was released. The club has also released import wide receiver Kenny Strickland.
