The Nets are no longer expected to shop point guard Devin Harris.

New Jersey didn't land the first overall pick in last month's draft lottery, which would have given them the rights to pick Kentucky point guard John Wall.

During his introductory press conference on Tuesday, coach Avery Johnson made it clear that he expects to have Harris this coming season.

"I'm really excited about us working together again," Johnson said. "I got to see him grow from a rookie in the NBA to a young man, and we're going to get Devin playing the type of basketball that I know he's capable of playing."

Having Avery as coach helps the chances of Harris staying there. lol

After that lame season of his last year, he's certainly expendable.

I don't think Harris would have a lot of trade value given his contract and the way he played last year.

You're forgetting the fact that Harris was playing with injuries all season.

It also seems quite possible that the absence of VC has exposed Harris' deficiencies. Besides, he was healthy enough to play 60 games and average 35 minutes. His numbers aren't even that far from what he has done in previous years - including his half season with the Nets after the Kidd trade.
