I've been going to bed early these last 2 weeks so I can get up to watch the World Cup games, so I didn't witness this myself, but my mom did. At about 12:40am this morning, an ambulance showed up across the street at the Lucas residence. There remains the possibility that it wasn't Maurice that they were there for, but it's hard not to jump to conclusions when you know he's fighting cancer. If I hear or see anything else, I'll let you guys know.
Sounds like it wasn't an urgent thing, as they took their time in leaving and didn't run lights/sirens as they left. He was stretchered out of the house, and was lifting his head, so he was conscious. Ambulance came first, followed by a fire truck, which would imply that it was a 9-1-1 call and not a transfer to a hospital, or else the fire truck may not have been dispatched.
