With teams like the Cavs and Mavs reportedly in the market for picks, it sounds like the T-Wolves are positioning themselves for a nice little cash infusion for an unprofitable franchise.
They will end up with a host of players that are at the same talent level of a solid reserve player. Not a smart move, IMHO.
I think the Knicks really don't care where the player comes from, all they want is a player worth a damn for a change.
First rounder have guaranteed contracts which eat up their cap as they enter free agency. Second round picks are unguaranteed so those draft picks don't impact the team's cap except as minimum salary capholds (which they'd have anyway if they are under 12 players under contract).
So the Blazers are trying to bundle their 34th pick they just paid 2 million for and an additional 3 million just to get up to 25 or 28 ... what the fuck?
ESPN is wrong, we paid about $1 million for the 34th pick. All the local guys are reporting it was $1 million, not $2 mill. $1 million makes MUCH more sense.
#44 ---> #34 = $2,000,000 #34 ---> #25/28 = $3,000,000 $5,000,000 is a hell of a lot of money a low first round pick. Holy shit.
