Shannon Brown can exercise his $2.2 million player option for next season or become a free agent. As of Tuesday, Brown didn't know what he's going to do. "I'm still thinking about it," Brown told the Los Angeles Times. "I would love to stay in L.A. and play for the Lakers. I don't know why anyone would break up a championship team." Brown's agent, Mark Bartelstein, thinks his client will opt for free agency. "My guess is he will," Bartelstein said tells FanHouse. "I will talk to Shannon over the next few days." Source: FanHouse
I wanted him back so bad last year. This year? Indifferent. He's a good end of the bench type of player, he throws down some flashy dunks, that's it. If he leaves, so be it. If he's back, that's cool.
Yeah, I think he really regressed this year compared to last. He got lazy on D this year and settled for way too many outside shots. If he brought the intensity on D again and attacked the rim, I'd like him back, but if it is this year's version of him...bye bye.
