Some people despise him for it, but I think it's his biggest strength. He knows he has a good roster that can do some things and isn't going to change it just to change it.

What is known is he feels the same way we all do - this teams needs a PG. But acquiring a good one isn't easy.

You've forgotten the iron law on this forum: any deal is a good deal because it means you got a deal done. Only pussies don't get deals done.

    In all seriousness.

Don't we have a top 10 PG on our roster now? I can't really think of many PG's that are a lot better than Miller.

We seem to have a good player at every possition. Miller is good, Roy is very good, Batum is good, Aldridge is good, Camby or Oden or Joel are good

As opposed to not even making the playoffs with the deal you proposed. Jesus.

If Miller were 25 years old, he'd be fine. Since he's only got maybe a couple of top-level years left in him, he misses this teams window.

I put more expectations on KP getting things done because he is playing with blank checks. Do something KP . . .

Miller most likely won't be here after next year. And I still don't buy him and Roy are necessarily a great match, but at least they're much better than before. A PG that is a good 3PT shooter is desirable imo.

That's fair, but are you saying this teams window is still 3 years away? That's scary for many reasons. Brandon's knees, Oden's body, PA's health. Most were all talking like last year was the begining of our window.

Then might it be better to just try and get the best shooter, and move Roy to the point?

Not three years away, IMO. But a longer window than 1-2 years, which is probably all Miller has left (at any high level, anyway).

No, I'm saying that the window extends beyond Miller's reasonable career longevity. It would be nice to get a PG who will be around and able to lead the team for the next six or seven years.

And your proposed trade of Harris for Roy solves this?

Roy is a 2, though. He can really only play the 1 in certain situations or stretches of a game.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to see that most of the blame will fall on Nate (deserved or not).

Somehow, that reminds me of a Homer Simpson quote: "Oh my God, Marge. A penalty shot with only four seconds left. It's your child versus mine! The winner will be showered with praise; the loser will be taunted and booed until my throat is sore!"
