Devin Harris. There aren't many players in the league faster and Harris has a huge upside.

Devin Harris, he's the better player right now, and Banks hasn't showed much of anything yet

Harris. No question about it. He is the better defensive player, he can take the ball to the rim very easily, he is a good playmaker. Banks has shown signs but he Harris has looked alot better so far in their respected careers. Banks has shown he is a pretty good shooter and an alright playmaker though. I see him winning MIP next year actually.

Harris EASILY although Banks is amongst the quickest players in the league. He'll be capable of 12/5 next year, but DWest did that this year in his second year...devins just more talented overall and the mavs will rely on him alot more next season

I'll take Harris. He's more polished, and Banks has been known to have an attitude problem. I loved him on the court back in his celtics days, but now he's putting way too much focus on offense and his D is slacking. When he puts his mind to it, he can be a great player, but even with that Harris will be a better player.

Umm, have you ever seen Marcus Banks run? That kid is a freakin rocket too!

But Harris is definitely ahead of Marcus right now. I love Marcus and I believe he was just in the wrong situation with the wrong coach here in Boston. He will explode though. They both score the same way, using their quickness to take anyone off the dribble and driving. Harris is a pretty good defender when comparing him to most young guards, but Marcus Banks is a defensive harrasser. Marcus has a shaky shot that is improving, but still not there. Harris has better form and a smoother release. Harris is the better "true PG" though. He is a better passer with better vision. Marcus is very strong for a PG though and can hang with any guard. In the future, Devin Harris has star potential while Marcus will be a starter, but not a guy you will vote for on the All-Star ballot.

    Speed - About equal
    Shooting - Harris
    Playmaking - Harris
    Defense - Banks
    Consistancy - Harris
    Stength - Banks
    Upside - Harris

Devin Harris. He has proven himself with the Mavs this year and it has continued through the playoffs. Marcus Banks reall hasn't done nothing to prove himself.

Is this a serious thread? Dude just had 30pts in a playoff game while Banks has done nothing with his career.

Yeah this is a preety easy one. If you have been watching the Mavericks these playoffs you would know who to pick in a second. :dribble:

yea, he has been growing up a lot this postseason, and he will only get better, he will learn to use his speed better. He should improve his jumpshot as time goes on. He is the better player and will be the better player in the future

I think he could become a really good player in this league if he could learn to shoot the ball better. If he does, then this kid could be a all-star.

I really like how Avery has been using him. He's maturing at a faster pace, and he's been playing under pressue alot. That big shot at the end of his 30 point game, with a hand in his face, that would've won the game, showed me something. He's a second year player, and he didnt get much time last year, but it showed me how much hes matured and improved as a player. He can take over a game on offense. We know hes a great defensive player. But he can so easily get to the rack, I love him.

The only thing I really hate about Harris is that he needs to pass more and get his guys more active. I mean, the Mavs don't get too many assists, but even Terry passes more.

I think he is like Tony Parker in a way. It amazed me watching him drive all over people and put it in easily.

Harris is the more consistent scorer and I've realized that he doesn't take any 3's like Banks.
