South Africa allrounder Wayne Parnell has been withdrawn from the South Africa A side that will tour Sri Lanka in August as he is yet to recover from a groin injury. Parnell was expected to be fit for the tour but the injury, suffered while warming up for an IPL match in March, is taking longer than expected to heal, and has already caused him to miss the ICC World Twenty20 and South Africa's tour of the West Indies. According to a statement from Cricket South Africa, Parnell could need surgery to fix the problem, which would keep him out of the Chevrolet Warriors' Champions' League campaign as well.
