Pacers president Larry Bird denied reports that the team discussed a trade with the Nets that would have sent Danny Granger and the 10th pick to New Jersey for Devin Harris and the third selection.

"It's a rumor," Bird said. "His name comes up all the time. ... It's going to take more than Devin Harris. Danny Granger is one of the top players in the league. To move Danny, you better get a lot back, especially throwing No. 10 in there."

Indiana kept the pick and drafted Fresno State forward Paul George when their search for a point guard failed.
