So, one of the front-runners is (what's his name?) the Assistant GM in Phoenix?

Kerr steps down, and this guy didn't get the promotion. Can you say "red flag"?

He'll be cheap and he'll be eager for a job, I guess. So, that's a plus. I hope he likes Bert Kolde's arm up his ass, though.

Who said that? You and your strawmen. It's comical. :)

I advise you to read the board rather than keep asking me to re-read it to you. Like you asking about who was hoping for Paul Allen's death... stuff gets posted here that you seem to just miss entirely, and then you act like I'm making it up. :)

Who said Born and Buchanon would leave? And who said they hoped Paul Allen would die? Isn't it up to you to prove these strawmen, rather than assume that people have read every post on the board.

It's fairly easy to link some factual evidence to such claims, isn't it? I thought you were an attorney. Don't you need to back up your claims in court with evidence when questioned?

No, the comment was aimed at me. If KP gets a new job soon, I'm of the opinion B&B will leave to join him, rather than stay here hoping for a promotion. :dunno:

I actually wasn't taking a shot at anyone. I just AM saying that Griffin seems to be fed up with the Suns ownership and removed himself from the situation rather than filling the gap post-Kerr.

Maybe it was because he knew he was going to be on his way out, anyway, but it's evidence that Allen's not the only owner capable of alienating his employees.

From what I understand, the Maloofs are equally, if not more meddlesome, than our own Paul Allen. Petrie gets overruled and directed a lot by them. I think he's a terrific talent evaluator. Martin was a later round gem. Thompson was a widely ridiculed pick at the time, but has proven solid. Hawes was a misfire maybe, but it's probably fair to say at this point, that 07 was VASTLY over-rated talent pool. More importantly, how would you rate his moves as our GM?

And we thought Pritchard over-valued his players....

Oh, well I said the same thing then. I didn't expect them to walk out the door with Pritchard, though. In fact, I posted the opposite, in that Pritchard helped protect them for another year or two before he gets a new gig and then promotes them.

So, it was another strawman, because I've yet to read a post that says B and B would follow Pritchard out the door.

So you said the same thing, but the opposite of what he said?

Haha. OMG says that I am talking about what he said, but you are calling it a strawman?

WTF is wrong with you? Haha.

The post after you did (I thought it was a strawman, though!?!) and you strongly implied you look forward to his death.

You assumed wrong. I didn't strongly imply I wished for his death. I don't wish for anyone's--except for a few evil dictators--death. I look forward to Paul Allen no longer owning this team, just as I look forward to Dan Snyder no longer owning my Redskins. I don't wish them death.

Look at how your post was constructed:

    1. You admit you're going to sound like a dick.
    2. You claim Paul Allen will be dead in two years.
    3. You say you look forward to the next ownership group.

That is entirely consistent with you hoping for his death. Not necessarily on a personal level for him, but because it would make your Blazers fandom more enjoyable.

I fail to see, actually, how else your post could be read.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I didn't read it that way. I read it as he looks forward to someone else owning the team and, unlike most owners, there's good reason to believe that an ownership change is coming.
