Re: Kobe's stats for next year? Okay, Kobe Bryant averaged 35.4 PPG, about 6 rpg, and about 5 apg this season. What do you guys think he'll average next year? My predicted stats are:32 PPG7 RPG5 APG1.5-2 SPGI think with those stats, and if Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom play really well, and the Lakers win 50+ games, he can get the MVP. It's unusal in NBA history for a player like him to not have won an NBA MVP Award yet. He's had his opportunities (02-03, 03-4, 05-06) I think Kwame Brown should become more of a Inside force of course, like more dominant. But he should create himself a defensive name. Think about it, the Lakers have Lamar Odom, Kobe Bryant, and whoever plays PG next year. If just scores most of the time he shoots the ball he can make a force, and then be a defensive player. It's for the better of the Lakers. Then Bynum can develop offsensively more without having another big men to share the ball with.
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? I pretty much agree with the stats airblaze predicted. No doubt in my mind that he doesn't win another scoring title.
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? I will go with 32pts, 7 assist, and 6 rebounds, nothing too different from everyother year.
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? Pretty much the same from last year except a slight decrease in points
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? I'm just guessing, but 30+/7/5+/2If everyone else plays up to par, tey should have a pretty solid team
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? I think overall, he'll have a better season than last year. Not in PPG, but overall. And I think he'll probably have another 60 point game. What do you guys predict for Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown's stats? For Lamar:20 PPG10 RPG5 APGAll star appearanceKwame Brown14 PPG9 RPG2 BPGMost Improved PLayer of the year Award
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? 20, 10 and 5 is a stretch for Lamar. I doubt he will get more than 16 or 17 ppg.
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? It's not a stretch. If he plays the way he did in the Playoffs, it's a possibility. People doubted Scottie Pippen too. I remember when I was little, my dad told me how everyone thought Scottie Pippen wasnt that good in the beginning.

Re: Kobe's stats for next year? All you guys besides cb4allstar are wrong and ill guarantee you that. Why??? Hes the only one that doesnt think hell get 5+ assists per game. Why do yuo guys think thta??? The days Kobe was getting that many assists was when shaq daddy was in town. He doesnt have enough of a supporting cast to do that w/ the amount of times he shoots. He averaged 4.5 apg last year and dont expect it to get much higher.. same w/ rebounds. hes only averaged above 6 rpg in his career twice and a ton of you are saying hell average 7rpg. My predicted stats31.5 ppg5.5 rpg4.5 apg2 spg

But most of the stats here are very optimistic, he's gotta have an MVP season again... I believe though

That was Kobe's first year being the star of the team. that was shaqs role. He wasnt used to doing all the scoring yet like he was this year. His ppg did go up 8 ppg. Hes now coming off a year where they actually did have a winning season and that was the season he was the ballhog and did all the scoring. I think hell be the same way next year because oft he fact that hell want to win. I may not like Kobe but I do think he needs to be a ballhog for the Lakers to win, and I think he thinks that to. I doubt he'll averaging 6 apg again.

If Lamar and Kwame play the same way they played the last couple of months he could easily average around 6 APG, but it all depends on his teammates.
Re: Kobe's stats for next year? I agree with that, Kobe will play good as always, he just needs his teammates to step up and play their role better. He doesnt have to be a ballhog to win games, the PHX series proved that, but he will have to take the game in his own hands sometimes because the other players will have off games and such.I'm really raMbling on here. And I'm starting to make no sense so... I'm gone until I get my groove back.
