Kevin O’Connor noted that the Jazz could acquire a player making up to $6.5 million through the trade exception they obtained from sending Matt Harpring to Oklahoma City. The Jazz also are owed a future first-round draft pick from Memphis as part of the Ronnie Brewer deal. “We’ll have to involve ourselves in trying to do a lot of things,” O’Connor said. “But you’ve got to be creative a little bit with things. That’s why we have some assets.” The Jazz also are open to a sign-and-trade with Carlos Boozer, which could create a future TPE and not impact their salary cap depending on what comes back in return. http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/jazz/49831211-87/jazz-boozer-connor-free.html.csp
