<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Miami Dolphins will allow Ricky Williams to play for the Toronto Argonauts as long as they have it in writing that he will be released at the end of the CFL season, the Miami Herald reported Friday, citing a source close to the Argos. The Argonauts were expected to comply with that request as early as Friday, the newspaper reported, allowing Williams and his agent, Leigh Steinberg, to neogiate a deal with the CFL team. The Herald reported Steinberg declined comment Thursday. The Argonauts secured Williams' CFL rights when the running back was suspended for a year by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The team's training camp starts Sunday, and the team opens its regular season June 16. The Dolphins had been reluctant to let Williams play in Canada due to the risk of injury, but are apparently relenting. Williams has three children and a fourth on the way and has reportedly earned $270,000 since December 2003, the Herald reported. He owes the Dolphins $8.6 million for breaching his contract when he retired in 2004."We want Ricky back on our team," Dolphins coach Nick Saban told the Herald earlier this month. "Ricky doesn't need to go to Canada to prove anything to us." But Saban also said the Dolphins would "give him the opportunity to do it if it's something that he needed to do or really wanted to do."Williams rushed for 743 yards and six touchdowns last season.</div><div align="center">Source</div>I guess we might as well let him, to simply keep him in football shape, but he really doesn't deserve it. Still at the same time I want to get something out of this pothead.Who knows though, maybe he becomes the MVP of the CFL, that'll at least give us good trade value, but then again he could get injured and screw us over again.
This will give him some playing time instead of being off smoking a lot of weed. The Phins better hope he doesn't get hurt...
This guy is such a disgrace, gaven multiple chances and blows every single one.I would never want him on our team again and the farther he is the better, let him go to the CFL and stay there for the rest of his life. Now our problem is Ronnie Brown,we need a solid backup for him.
They mise well let him play, it will keep him in shape! Im surprised ricky didnt want to play football somewhere down in mexico since they legalized drugs!
I'd like to see Ricky in the CFL a lot, there's no good players and he can be one to bring more life into the game.Last year I was watching a normal NFL game over the Grey cup. That;s how sad it's been.
too much hate for the pothead athletes at this site, if any of you get out of your house someday you'll realize half of your ''idols'' are doing the same sh*t.
Yeah...Canadian football records...woohooo. The NFL will still issue him drug tests while playing in Canada.
Hey, its still cool to have former NFL Pro Bowlers coming up here. Its gonna be exciting. I might actually have to watch some CFL Games

And since the CFL doesn't have any drug tests, Ricky Williams can still blaze it up. I'm sure he'll do that both on the field and off.On a side note, you have to love some of the CFL team names in canadaEdmonton EskimosWinnipeg Blue BombersToronto AgronautsMontreal AlouettesHamilton Tiger CatsOn another side note, Molson Canadian is a fantastic beer... :beerchug:
