"It got hairy there for a time, but things are nearly tranquil on the contract front for the Green Bay Packers as they near their summer vacations. Cornerback Tramon Williams and end Johnny Jolly avoided showdowns with the Packers over their restricted free-agent tenders by agreeing to deals just before Monday's deadline. Safety Atari Bigby is the lone veteran yet to sign a contract. Coach Mike McCarthy announced Jolly's deal on Wednesday. Several sources confirmed Williams agreed to his tender before the deadline even though his name did not appear on the National Football League's internal transaction wire on Tuesday or Wednesday. Williams verbally agreed to his tender late Monday, but the contract had yet to be delivered to the team as of Wednesday afternoon. It's a formality, however. The move will likely be made official on Thursday. Williams' agent, Rodney Williams, has not returned several messages left for him. The Packers don't comment on transactions until they become official with the league. Williams, who will be entering his fourth season, will be paid $3.043 million for the 2010 season after he was tendered at the highest level possible. That is slightly less than the previously reported amount ($3.168 million). Because Williams had less than four years of service time, his tender was slightly less than other players at his level." http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/96529289.html
Hell yeah! I am happy to see both Williams and Jolly return. Bigby is good at all, but I think he could be replaced, or be switched to Cornerback.
