As a product of the Akron school system, I can vouch that it has made me all that I am today. But if Ferry wants a school he likes, he could build a little one next to his Portland house with his probable $2M salary. That would increase the value of his house, so he should first buy all the houses around the lot for the school, and later sell them at a profit, paying off the little school.

By the way, sorry to vary from the thread's topic, but if Berger was on at 8 am, can someone post what he said? Or maybe just say something about the thread title?

You think this tool knows more about whats goin' down then I do? Honestly? I may fuck around on here and joke a lot, but brother I am around these people almost as much as my family. Over the past 5 + seasons I have seen and heard some shit that you guys would have loved to have heard about. Most still has never came out in public. My boss reads this board and I would get cracked on quick if I put anything legit on this board. Just cause I fuck around on here doesn't mean I don't know what's really goin' on.

Just Dwight Jaynes! Quick is a tool, but is around enough to know what's going on.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I thought someone earlier posted his contract status, that he got a three year extension in 2008 or 2009.

I trust your word (I think?) but I've yet to hear one person give me a concrete reason why Berger or Patterson would have an axe to grind with KP ... and both seemed to spend as much time slagging Allen and Kolde for creating an atmosphere of incompetence and arrogance. I take everything with a grain of salt, but I'm always willing to listen to everything and weight it on its own merits (or lack thereof).

I don't want to get you in trouble HCP, but don't you spend more time around the players and what might be called "support" personnel than front office types? Or do you mingle with the PA's and Buchanans and Borns and Millers? Believe me, I'm jealous of any type of access you have, but it seems that once it gets to a certain level a kind of "Telephone Game" has already taken effect?

How could someone give you a concrete reason? Circumstantial evidence, on the other hand, is readily available, and has been posted numerous times.

I can't find any news reports of an extension. Which, of course, doesn't mean it didn't happen.

We are around all the players and coaches all the time. Some road trips we are joined by Miller, KP and Bourne and Buchanan. There might be an occasional dinner with John Nash in the past, KP, Tom Penn. I'm not claiming to be some "insider", but I've heard and seen some things that most people haven't. I don't think I play that insider card here that often though. But I had to speak out, cause Berger knows nothing more then any of you GOOGLE capable internet geeks!

I can't find any news reports on anything regarding his contract. The Google is failing me!

Did anyone posting in this thread listen to the radio show, or did you all find a nice empty thread to dump your miscellaneous thoughts into?

I believe that was in reference to Petrie.

Patterson is trying to undo his reputation as the guy who put one of the most successfully run NBA franchises both on and off the court into the toilet. Berger (A PR man) is getting miles and miles of attention/press right now.

Exactly what is it that you don't understand?

It wasn't meant as disrespect, I'm sure you know a lot more inside stuff than casual fans like me. It just seems like you tell us to totally disregard a lot of people as nothing but tools. Doesn't anyone besides you know anything?

I read YOUR recap. I assumed you were being truthful.

    And it's not a radio show. It's a podcast.

Why are you assuming they aren't all tools? Have you not ever had the displeasure of dealing with sports writers?

I used to work for the Dodgers in the main office, in the stadium. Saw it all from top to bottom from sports writers to stadium operations people. A job that was so SO disappointing on so many levels.

Let me tell you children. Don't look behind the curtain. It will change you forever.
