I could be wrong, but didn't Ferry make his bones in the SAS mafia while Presti and KP were junior scouts? That was quoted from the Cavs media guide, before Ferry's name and bio was removed last week. I don't quite believe it (Popovich and Buford have some say), but to say that he's not good at talent evaluation as the SAS mafia (that he basically trained up) isn't right, imo.
I may be mistaken, but my recollection is that he didn't stick very long. His approach to the job is very different from the others.
