He's a UFA (because he's on the Miami Heat, home to zero current players) and he was the starting PF on a championship team. He's a great defender, very good rebounder, and he hits the open shot. Yes, there's that photo of him looking stoned in a Portland hotel room with young-looking girls, but if you held THAT against NBA players...

I would be very happy if he was our Mid-level exception guy. I really don't see this "we need MORE PGs and SGs" stuff.

MLE sure, but honestly PG who can shoot and defend is pretty darn important IMO. Go after Collison or Paul. NOH will likely give up one or the other.

I actually want to see how Dante comes back. The second half of the season he was a reliable pick-and-pop guy who played tough defense.

I don't think Haslem would necessarily appreciate the lack of minutes he would get here (by comparison to his previous years). He's consistently been about a 30mpg player his entire career. He is getting older, but I'm not sure how plausible it is.

    Yes please.

Unless the team is going to move one of the abundance of combo guards the team already has there doesn't seem to be any need to bring another guard.

I think he ends up in Miami. They'll get their two max guys, and then lock him up. He's been a Florida guy his whole life, born and raised, college and now pros. He'll take less to stay there. I'd like him on the team, but seems like Portland's about as far away as he can get from Miami, don't think he'd go for it at all.

From everything I have read Haslem has said he will play for Miami or nobody. He said he is too old to pick up the pieces and start over somewhere else, and has no desire to leave Miami.

I would rather we use our MLE on JJ Reddick anyhow.
