http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2g98bdh I messed up and this trade is a failure as constructed due to Gomes taking up cap space. DAMN IT!. Miami trades: Beasley Miami Receives: cap space/trade exception? Let a cap wizard tell us. And Dante Cunningham who has a minimal impact on salary and is a decent prospect to be an energy guy off the bench. NOH trades: Collison, Posey NOH receives: Bayless, Beasley, Fernandez Portland Trades: Bayless, Fernandez Portland Receives: James Posey Darren Collison Trade exception 2million. Not sure NOH wants Beasley, but getting a young PF with a lot of talent who can back up or replace West in a follow up trade along with Bayless while shedding salary is pretty delicious. Oh and they get the matador who used to be able to shoot and stuff... This frees up Portland's logjam at 2 guard Portland: PG Miller/Collison/Mills (Collison will replace Miller next year or trade AMEC and JPEC for another piece) SG Roy/Elliot Williams/Batum SF Batum/Posey/Babbit PF LMA/Camby/Pendergraph C Oden/Camby/Przybilla Looks pretty stocked to me and you still have trade exceptions and expirings to dangle. This allows Miami to attempt to shoot the moon with the big three Wade/LeBron/Bosh. What do you guys think?
Are you sure about that? I thought we gained salary cap space? What DID we get out of waiving him then? EDIT: read up on it avoided Lux tax. Well we could throw in Przybilla and take out Bayless, but that kind of sucks and becomes not nearly worth it at that point...damn. I wanted to get in on that Beasley action.
Yeah someone else just told me. Damn it. I wish ESPN would let you bypass trade holds like the one on Przybilla. Oh well tonight I can post real trades that have at least as much merit as BoomShakaLaka's, ok maybe not THAT much.
