The Knicks are trying to create additional cap space prior to the start of free agency by trading center Eddy Curry, a source told the Chicago Tribune.

New York is trying to improve their position in the LeBron James sweepstakes by making room to sign Joe Johnson and Chris Bosh as well.

Curry, who has one year left on his deal, would have to be moved via trade or buyout.

Maybe former coach Skiles would want him. Milwaukee has the cap space to absorb the contract, I believe.

I doubt anyone touches it. Strictly hypothetically, if we sign LeBron/Bosh, a solid move would be trading Curry/Chandler for Okafor/Collison.

    PG: Collison
    SG: LeBron
    SF: Gallo
    PF: Bosh
    C: Okafor

    Key reserves:
    Douglas, Walker
