The Pacers have a bunch of contracts that have been difficult to trade, but that's no longer the case since they're set to expire at the end of next season.

The Pacers need to upgrade the point guard position and could use Troy Murphy, T.J. Ford, Mike Dunleavy, Jeff Foster or Solomon Jones to help facilitate a trade.

"We've got these expiring contracts and there are teams that want them," general manager Larry Bird told The Indianapolis Star. "They may not have wanted them during the draft, but as the offseason and season goes on, they start looking at their team and they're going to see the opportunity to do a deal. We're in a good position now."
