<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>BERARDINO: Rest may not be for bestPublished May 18, 2006MIAMI -- Udonis Haslem was rolling along late Tuesday night in a Heat locker room positively buzzing with good vibrations. The Heat power forward was praising the resurgent Antoine Walker in one breath, calling his teammates "humbled" by the opportunity to return to the Eastern Conference finals in the next. Then somebody mentioned the next great challenge in front of this maddening team. No, not the Pistons or the Cavaliers, although they'll come along in due time.Talking here instead about what happens when a team like the Heat dispatches a team like the Nets in five games and then must wait up to a week to start its next series.Usually, this is a good thing. More rest for weary joints and all that. But this Heat collection?....</div>
Bad, Heat are one of those teams that need to keep on there feet and working hard. They need to continue to play teams continuesly, this could cause a slump for Wade and Shaq. IMO if the Mavs had not had that week rest they would have beaten the Spurs in 6 and I personally believe that the Mavs and the Heat are very similar in this sort of thing.
I think it's good, especially for Shaq. The more rest Shaq gets the better and more agressive he seems to plays. I could see how you think it will work against us, but I doubt it will effect us that way.
I think it is good and bad.Good- We get to rest are guys up really good and work on the game. Plays, and watch the Pistons, and Cavs to see what there going to do.Bad- We were playing great fourth quarter basketball. And hopefully we can continue that or else we are going to lose the first and maybe secound game of the series.
They will be working hard in practive and all. It will be good for Shaq because he always needs a rest. I say it is a good thing because guys like Wade and Shaq will probably be able to wear their oppenents down. So I say it is a good thing as long as they are still on their feet in practice and working hard for the up-coming series.
I think it's good and bad. It's good in a way that the players can get the rest that they need so they won't be tired later on in the schedule like the Pistons were in Game 1. But it's bad because the players need to be playing their hardest every day, not resting too much so that they become lazy and not as fast-tempo'd as they usually are.
I don't think any rest will help the Heat in the long run. I think this series will go to 7 games again and DET will come out on top.
